Playful and geometric, the Norma Indigo rug was woven in a small village in Oaxaca. Dyed using natural dyes of indigo, marigold and cochineal. The Norma rug is named after the woman who introduced Sara to the weavers MINNA works with in Mexico. Brings personality to any room. Due to the nature of handcrafted goods, each rug may differ slightly. Spot clean. 100% Cotton warp, 100% Wool weft.

MINNA is a New York based home textile brand established in 2013 by Sara Berks, a graduate from the School of Visual Arts.
MINNA strives to bridge the gap between ethically made goods and contemporary design. Employing a cottage industry approach, MINNA partners with master weavers and artisan collectives in Mexico and Guatemala. Our products are produced using traditional craft techniques which helps ensure both craft preservation and job creation.
MINNA began as an exploration in tapestry weaving and soon evolved into a collection of textiles for the home. Our designs are informed and inspired by the Bauhaus, Feminist art, traditional craft, and vintage textiles.
MINNA comes from the name Sara’s maternal grandmother dropped upon her arrival to the United States from Germany, in 1940. Sara liked the story: nostalgic and a little bit rebellious.
