Description

The Tubular Bookshelf by Another Human is an extension of the Tubular family of products that was introduced in 2017 with the tubular magazine rack. Drawing inspiration from Bauhaus furniture and the Eames storage unit, the tubular bookshelves are powder coated in vibrant, glossy candy red and cobalt blue colors, and the shelves feature an oversized perforation pattern reminiscent of giant blocks of Lego.

About the Designer

Launched in 2017, Another Human is the Los Angeles–based design practice of Leah Ring, through which she creates one-of-a-kind objects, furniture, and jewelry aimed at challenging traditional constructs of form, proportion and materiality. A skilled interior designer with nearly a decade of experience, Leah is inspired by the belief that a well-designed space can have a deep impact on the human experience. Another Human is an extension of Leah’s passion for creating spaces that inspire and delight. Her playful, sculptural aesthetic is aimed at deconstructing ideas around what a piece of furniture can and should be, while maintaining a functional, livable piece.
