The 105 Rocking Chair is made from thin sheets of birch and maple that have been compressed, molded and cut into a seamless, contoured rocking chair.

The complex curves in this rocker are made possible by a technology called Radio Frequency Gluing used by our third generation, family-owned molded plywood fabricator in North Carolina. As wood veneers are pressed together over this four-part mold, electrical currents are sent through the material so that the adhesive can bond in minutes, decreasing the opportunity for any of the layers to break under the immense pressure. “RF” gluing is incredibly energy-efficient compared to a heated press and produces better quality curves.
