Corcoran brought our studio in to stage 172 Monitor Street, a renovated brick townhouse in Greenpoint, before it came to market. We furnished every floor so buyers could see how a household would settle in, from the parlor to the primary suite.

The house

The renovation paired the original brick and timber beams with a sage kitchen and a black steel stair that climbs toward a skylight. We wanted the furniture to bridge those two eras, so each room would feel rooted in its history and ready for modern life.

The design

We kept the palette light and playful to match the airy rooms. A green sofa and a geometric rug bring color to the parlor, while mid-century walnut pieces echo the warmth of the exposed beams overhead.

Upstairs, the bedrooms stay calm and restful, letting arched windows and treetop views take center stage. Crisp white linens and a few warm wood pieces leave space for buyers to imagine their own mornings here.
